Stream Deck
The LensLink Stream Deck plugin puts the camera controls on hardware keys and dials. Each key shows what the camera is doing right now, wherever the change came from: the app, the browser control panel or another key.
Installing it#
- Install the OBS plugin and keep OBS running on the same computer as the Stream Deck app (Stream Deck 7.1 or later, on Windows or macOS).
- Download
cam.lenslink.streamdeck.streamDeckPluginfrom the latest release and double-click it. Stream Deck installs it and adds a LensLink category to its action list. - Drag actions onto keys or dials.
The plugin talks to the OBS plugin's control panel on
localhost:9980, which is on by default. If you turned
Browser control panel off in Tools → LensLink
Settings, turn it back on. If you changed its port, enter the same
number in any LensLink action's OBS port field; it applies to
every action.
Actions#
| Action | Key | Dial (Stream Deck +) |
|---|---|---|
| Camera | Starts or stops the camera. Green Live while streaming; amber Armed when a press will start it. Can be set to start only or stop only. | |
| Pause | Holds the picture without ending the stream; press again to resume. | |
| Flip camera | Switches between front and back; shows which one is in use. | |
| Lens | Switches to one lens (yellow while it is the active one), or cycles through the lenses on that side. Pressing the active lens resets its zoom. | |
| Zoom | Goes to a set zoom on the current lens. | Turn to zoom, press for 1×. |
| Flashlight | Turns the flashlight on or off. | |
| Lock | Locks what auto is doing right now, for everything or for exposure, focus or white balance alone. Press again to hand it back to auto. | |
| White balance | Locks to a set temperature, or goes back to auto. | Turn for kelvin (2500–8000 K), press for auto. |
| Calibrate white balance | Hold white paper or a gray card in the middle of the picture, then press. | |
| Exposure | Steps EV up or down, or sets it. Off while exposure is manual. | Turn for EV in ⅓ steps, press for 0. |
| ISO and shutter | Turn for ISO or shutter (taking exposure manual), press to switch between them, tap the screen for auto exposure. | |
| Focus | Auto focus, face focus on or off, or a saved focus position. | Turn to focus, press for auto. |
| Green screen | Turns the green screen on or off, with the subject cutoff you pick. | |
| Format | Switches resolution, frame rate and, optionally, codec in one press. | |
| Microphone | Picks which phone mic feeds the source, while the phone mic is the source's audio. |
Camera controls work while the camera is live, as everywhere else; until then their keys are dimmed and a press shows Stream Deck's warning triangle. Keys read Not connected while OBS or the phone is away.
More than one phone#
Every action has a Source menu listing your LensLink Camera sources by name. First camera (the default) follows the first one OBS lists. Pick a source by name to tie a key to one phone, so a two-camera setup can have a row of keys per phone. Screen sources are left out, since they have no camera controls.
Without the plugin#
Anything that can send an HTTP request can drive the camera too, such as Bitfocus Companion or a script; the commands are listed under the HTTP API.
